The Tarka Trail!

 

Photo from the cycle trail - the 2nd bridge from us in the Bideford direction (~0.5 miles). Otters have been spotted in this stretch of river. The restored Rolle Canal bridge is very near here, but hidden off track and not suitable to explore with bikes!

The old railway line is known as the Tarka Trail - spanning miles of North Devon countryside, you can cycle or walk in peace and safe from traffic. There are many sites of interest along the route, as well as activities and facilities in the adjoining towns.

Over time we hope to update this page with various bits of information and to collect photos from along the trail.
