This term's House Points trophy has eventually been won by Taw House who scored 8940 points over the term beating Tavy into second place with 8763 points. This term in particular the announcements of the weekly totals have shown a much tighter competition and the final result really was unpredictable right up to the final week. The trophy was presented to the team captains at the end of the Achievement Assembly. Mr Waldron was later seen having difficulty tieing the green Taw ribbon on to the trophy, probably because the ribbon had never been used before!!!!

The school has appointed a temporary full time teacher to take over the class responsibilities of Ian Bartlett when he takes up the acting headship in January. Following a long day of interviewing, involving the school council, we were delighted to offer the post to Miss Katie Hannington. She has already been to meet her new class and says she is looking forward very much to joining the school. I am sure we will all welcome her into the school and the community of Torrington.
